and not by other parties. The primary user may not assign, transfer, or
delegate the use of this account to any other individuals.
You MAY use this account for personal communications.
You MAY use this account for occasional mailings to small groups of individuals.
You may NOT use this account in the operation of a commercial or business
endeavour, nor for non-University organizations of any nature.
You may NOT use this account to send bulk mail, chain letters of any

For students who are not currently enrolled, accounts that are inactive
(that is, the mail is not read) may be closed and all email messages deleted
after 90 days of inactivity.
The Computer Services Center will attempt to preserve the privacy of
all email messages sent on this system. However, the routine administration
of the email system may occasionally expose some messages to view by administrators.
The nature of Internet electronic mailing raises the possibility of your
mail being read by unintended recipients at receiving and other sites.
The Computer Center therefore recommends that electronic mail systems
not be used for communications for which confidentiality is a requirement.
The Computer Center attempts to maintain a reliable and consistently
available electronic mail system. However,
the University accepts no liability for direct or indirect damages or
other consequences arising from a failure to deliver, or misdelivery,
of email messages, or unavailability of the system.
The Computer Services Center conducts nightly backups of the email system
as a protection against data loss or failure of the system. Backups are
normally performed of each individual's complete inbox and secondary folders
(if any). However, such backups cannot be used to recover individual email
messages mistakenly deleted by the user. Account holders are advised to
print out or make separate electronic copies of messages that they wish
to insure are not lost.
The Computer Center reserves the right to limit all email storage space
to 20MB (megabytes) per individual.
The Computer Center limits all email messages to a maximum size limit of 10 MB
per email message, including all attachments.
Items that you place in your Trash folder will be purged after 10 days; purged items are permanently deleted, and cannot be recovered. |
