Jaguar1 Step-by-Step

Step 1: Find your Jag Number and PIN

In order to find out your Jaguar1 email address and password you must know your PAWS Jag Number and PIN.  If you don't know your PIN and you have set up a challenge phrase/answer, here are the steps to reset your PIN to your birthdate. 

• Go to: https://paws.usouthal.edu
• Click on "Enter Secure Area"
• Type in your Jag number (use a capital "J")
• Click the "Forgot PIN?" button.

If you don't know your Jag number or are unable to reset your PIN using the procedure above, email pawshelp@usouthal.edu for assistance.

Step 2: Get your Jaguar1 Userid and Password

Once you know your PAWS Jag number and PIN, you can use these to get your Jaguar1 Email userid and password:

http://jagmail.usouthal.edu/jagmail/jagmail_stusetup.htm

If you submitted the correct PAWS Jag number and PIN, then you'll get a page that shows what your Jaguar1 email userid, password and email address are.  Each time you submit this page with the correct information, a new random 5-character password will be assigned to your Jaguar1 email account.  Your userid and email address always stay the same.

Step 3: Log in to Jaguar1 Webmail

Once you have your Jaguar1 Email userid and password, you can login through the webmail interface to send/receive mail:

Make sure that there are no pop-up window blocking programs/utilities running on your computer.  Otherwise you won't be able to send (compose, reply or forward) mail or use the Help utility.  For additional help topics, see the Jaguar1 email FAQ:
